HAL Architects

I completed a Bachelor of Design; Interior Architecture at CPIT, NZ. This degree built and developed the core design and technical skills necessary for my professional development during the 7 years I have been working in the architecture industry. In Australia, I have completed a Bachelor of Design; Architectural Studies (QUT), and am now doing the Masters of Architecture, prior to seeking Registration in Australia. In my career so far I have enjoyed a wide variety of experience from hand drawn Sketch Designs, to Development Approvals, to Construction Drawings of; high end residential, religious, educational facilities, public housing, accessible housing, multi-unit developments, retirement villages and aged care facilities, commercial, mining accommodation, master planning for mining developments, interior design, visual assessment work including photomontages for use in the Planning and Environment Court, marketing and presentation work. I have worked for both small and medium size practices and I have also carried out private contract drafting work. I am involved with initiating and implementing CAD training, and opportunities to mentor students coming through the office. I am enjoying the opportunities that Brisbane offers; especially the public design dialogue, and I regularly seek the challenges and satisfaction of design competition work. Despite being away from my home country, I do follow NZ architecture news and I enjoy the inspiration of great NZ design. Hopefully I will get to delve into it again one day soon!
