A+W NZ Timeline on Tour - Christchurch
We are excited to announce that the A+W NZ Timeline is travelling to Christchurch this month, exhibiting at 65 Cambridge Terrace as part of Open Christchurch on Sunday 1 May 2022, 10am–4pm, and open for viewing Monday – Friday 12.30pm–2pm from 2 – 13 May 2022.
The A+W NZ Timeline is a celebration of women in the architectural community, making visible the gaps in the documented histories of New Zealand’s architectural profession. It was first exhibited at Silo 6, Auckland in our 2013 exhibition Between Silos, and was created by Marianne Calvelo, with Joy Roxas (designer) and Lynda Simmons (curator).
Since then, the A+W NZ Timeline has been re-installed multiple times with additional researchers assisting at each re-installation, including Dr Deidre Brown, Dr Lucy Treep, Ashleigh Smith and Alex Pirie. Read more on the A+W NZ Timeline during its last exhibition in Hawkes Bay.
A+W NZ want to say a huge thank you to Marianne Calvelo for her initiating work in this valuable history overview, which has gone on to become a developed resource for students, architects and the general public.
