A+W NZ warmly invite you to a special screening of the film “The Space Architect” in connection with the Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival 2026, in Wānaka.
About the film: Constance Adams, a world-renowned space architect, spends her final months racing to preserve her legacy. In her last interview, she reflects on a career designing how humans could survive—and thrive—in the most hostile environments, from Mars habitats to deep-space living quarters. Her breakthrough: realizing that the tools she built for other worlds could help protect life on a rapidly changing Earth. This film captures the brilliance and complexity of a woman who reshaped aerospace while navigating motherhood and the cost of genius. It’s an intimate portrait of someone who spent her life reaching for the stars, only to use her final days to ground her work more deeply on Earth.
