The event was opened by Ngāi Tūāhuriri o Ngāi Tahu, with warm words from Maaka Tau, followed by a welcome from A+W NZ current Co-Chair Maria Chen. Minister of Housing, Minister of Energy and Resources, and Minister of Building and Construction Hon Dr Megan Woods addressed the warm and generous crowd, followed by Charlotte Hoare, of Architectus, who spoke of Turanga, the new Public Library in Christchurch.
Elizabeth Cox re-presented her reflections on her four years of hard work and collaborating with the thirty contributors, as well as giving an insight into some of its contents.
Jessica Halliday gave the launch presentation talk, before Elizabeth was again signing many copies of this beautiful volume.
A special thanks goes to ex Co-Chairs Lindley Naismith and Megan Rule and the sponsorship team, who worked hard to make the book financially possible, and to the Christchurch A+W NZ team that made the night happen;
