The Story of Babylonian Civilization

This project is a cultural monument that brings to life the legacy of Ancient Babylon — the cradle of religion, politics, and culture, to which humanity owes one of its greatest civilizations. Designed as a tribute to this immortal heritage, the project aims to revive the legend of Babylon and unveil some of the mysteries that gave it enduring influence through the ages.

The design tells the narrative of our ancestors through a carefully constructed architectural journey. It unfolds the stories of the three iconic eras of Ancient Babylon, represented in distinct zones that guide visitors through a full life-circle experience, where time is translated into space.

Each part of the monument aligns with daily rituals and cultural practices of Babylonian life, brought together in an awe-inspiring visual and spatial order. Focal points and interconnected spaces are seamlessly linked to create a continuous, immersive experience that mirrors the spiritual and social rhythm of the ancient city.

This visionary project was internationally recognized and won International DAF Award in 2016, celebrating its innovative approach to cultural preservation and storytelling through architectural expression.
