Nadya Chadovich

Architectural Graduate Non-practicing
I'm an architect with expertise in urban design and public realm projects. I perceive every project as a story with a background, including people's stories and context. Exploring the mentioned aspects and delivering them through the design concept is the most inspiring part of the project. I'm passionate about working with communities to reinforce social cohesion through design. A year ago, I moved to New Zealand to push forward my pursuit of a balance between the city environment and nature and to get a Master's Degree in Sustainable Design. I'm looking for opportunities to continue my professional career in NZ.

Showcase

Embankment renovation (Chaikovsky, Russia)

The embankment has valuable and spatial potential as the city’s most important public space. New embankment not only allows residents to access beautiful natural areas, protecting them from urban hustle and bustle and reducing stress, but also protects the shore from the river with its powerful hydraulic structures. The embankment serves as the city’s protector.
The concept’s aim is to develop the territory’s potential and cultivate the value of the river in the city through:
1. Contemplation (peaceful rest on the embankment, unity with nature, beach recreation).
2. Sports (professional sporting events, amateur water sports, winter sports).
3. Health (walks, terrainkur, a spring with mineral water, etc.)
4. Creation (activating urban communities and realising their creative potential, both in participating in the project and in the subsequent life of the object.)
5. Multifunctionality (considering the interests of as many population groups as possible)
