Hello, I am a recent architectural graduate with a strong interest in educational projects. I am also an ex-teacher with five years teaching experience in NZ, and a mum to an almost two-year-old. In the past two years, I have been constantly exploring the beautiful relationship between parenthood and architecture.

The In-Between Space: An auto-ethnographic and architectural investigation into a Chinese grocery store
This master thesis explores a different way
to engage with issues of displacement and
gentrification during the process of urban
redevelopment, by exploring what roles
a Chinese grocery store plays in the local
community.
In this project, personal experience is highly
valued and documented as a key part of the
design process in order to address the gap
between socio-cultural realities and current
urban planning strategies, which are often
instituted, directed and controlled.
The In-between Space is informed by on-theground
studies and provides a culturally specific
approach to extend community participation
by expanding traditional architectural design
methodologies.
