Jane is a registered architect with over 30 years of experience in architectural conservation and adaptive reuse of heritage buildings. Jane and Antony established their architectural practice, Matthews & Matthews Architects Ltd in 2000. Jane has broad experience in preparing conservation plans, heritage impact assessments, and thematic heritage studies.
Our work on heritage projects has been varied and interesting, with constant learning through research, and collaboration with historians, project teams, contractors and specialist conservators. The strengthening, conservation and adaptive reuse projects we have been involved with have been rewarding, enabling heritage buildings to continue to be used and enjoyed.
