I have worked for architects in NZ , Australia and the UK as a designer / senior technician for 20+ years. Starting a family coincided with starting my degree in Architecture back in 1986, and I finally managed to complete my B.Arch 1st class honours n 2008.
My most recent challenge has been starting my own registered architect practice in Houghton Bay on Wellington's south coast. I have been kept busy on residential projects such as alterations and additions, kitchens and bathrooms, artist studios, plus a few new homes, as well as some small scale commercial projects. I look forward eagerly to growing my practice to include other permanent staff members.

House Additions & Alterations
A major house alteration to an existing farm house created a new Master Bedroom and Ensuite wing linked to the main house by a "snug". The clients' wanted to modernize their solid 1960's house and add some serious entertaining space that could accommodate large family gatherings. Plenty of new windows to capture views and sun with a break out bay window to the northwest corner of the existing building achieved the desired result.
