After graduating in 1987 and working in New Zealand and Great Britain I formed Architecture Smith + Scully Ltd with Hilary Scully in 1996. It was an attempt to create a practice that would allow us both to stay involved in architecture and at the same time become the sort of mothers we also wanted to be.
Since then I have worked on many wonderful projects with equally wonderful people. I love the process of architecture and in particular, the privilege and the potential to affect positive change in people's lives and their environments.
