Ko Elisapeta Hinemoa Heta taku ingoa, No Whangaruru ahau, Ko Ngati Wai me Waitako ahau with a dose of Samoan, Tokelauan and English descent thrown in for good measure. Passionately multidisciplinary by nature, since graduating with an MArch (prof) in 2010, I have been actively working across architecture, as an artist, and teaching at the University of Auckland. My hope is to be able to continue to work at creating diverse pathways towards participating in the architectural discourse.

The Whare In The Bush

The Whare In The Bush is a collaborative project between four female recent graduates.

Taking on otherwise masculine notions of DIY and building, whilst including the acts of collaboration, and changing the meaning of the term 'Homemaker', this whare will become more of a community build. Whilst being an open dialogue about the celebration of how women practice and design.

Collectively, the objectives of this project are to create something of an 'Elastic Band Home'. Somewhere with welcoming and embracing walls for those that need it, expanding, contracting and fitting to the needs of whoever occupies it.
