She is a regular guest critic in Unitec’s architecture programme, and she also pursues her passion for culture and heritage by writing for the Auckland Museum blog.

Book: Beyond the State for Penguin NZ
Andrea co-authored this book with architectural historian and academic Bill McKay. It is a biography of the iconic ‘state house’, a phenomenon of New Zealand architecture and Labour’s socialism. Andrea is the author of part two, which is all about the state house today. She and photographer Simon Devitt documented fourteen houses from around the country, and present them in text and photographic essays.
