Richmond Townhouses
The design of these townhouses originated from the client’s vision to develop their current site in a way that gently intensifies it (three houses instead of a single one) without imposing more height in this quiet low-rise neighbourhood of Richmond.
Each townhouse has 3 bedrooms, an office space, open plan living/dining/kitchen and generous outdoor private areas. Privacy and natural light are controlled by a slight shift in alignment as well as the use of large sliders.
We accommodated the client’s wish to include double garages but proposed to integrate them in a way that allows occupants to use them as an additional bedroom/office/studio by connecting them to the main floorplan, allowing natural light and ventilation.
The driveway is permeable and includes rainwater gardens. Storm-detention tanks are included.
