Maggie Carroll is a practising registered architect, Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Architects, and director of her own Auckland-based practice, Maggie Carroll Ltd. She co-founded Bureaux in 2010 and co-led the practice for 16 years, shaping a widely recognised body of work across residential, commercial, hospitality, and heritage projects. In 2017 she, alongside Jessica Barter, received the Architecture + Women Wirihana Leadership Award. Her work is defined by a careful response to site, a strong material sensibility, and an emphasis on craft, simplicity, and how spaces support daily life and ritual.
