Vanessa Coxhead

Architectural Graduate Practicing
I’m an architectural graduate at Moller Architects where I contribute to the studio’s mixed-use and residential projects, and community and cultural developments. I grew up in Tāmaki Makaurau and completed my Master of Architecture (Professional) at Victoria University of Wellington. Before moving into architecture, I completed a degree in visual arts and worked across the contemporary public arts sector in the project management of public art initiatives, exhibition coordination and architectural research and writing. The connections between the contemporary art, events, and architecture communities feed into my evolving design philosophy.

I am currently on the board of Te Pūtahi: Centre for Architecture and City Making. I coordinated Auckland’s Festival of Architecture in 2018 and 2019 for the New Zealand Institute of Architects Auckland Branch, and co-led the networks and newsletter portfolio for Architecture + Women New Zealand from 2020–2022. I am passionate about the opportunity architecture has to improve our lives and nurturing community engagement through discourse and the provision of accessible events.
