Renée Williamson
I have a Master of Architecture & became a NZ Registered Architect in 2021. Through working on various project types and scales, I have found my niche in the public & education sector, working on exciting projects that benefit many people.

I have served three years on the Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) Board, as co-opted graduate & emerging practitioner director. During my time as director, my main focus was to build a nationwide connected network of architecture graduates (known as Emerge), & seek to fill the often confusing gap between graduation & registration. It was a great privilege to be presented with a NZIA President's award in 2022.

I am happy to offer advice and support to graduates navigating practice and their pathway to registration.

Waimea College

This project delivers 15 new flexible teaching spaces over 2 levels. The use of locally grown Radiata Pine means the building is highly sustainable, particularly in the field of carbon capture. The two classroom blocks sequester around 280 tons of carbon over a standard steel and concrete equivalent building.
