Architecture Aotearoa for Palestine

Architecture Aotearoa for Palestine (AA4P) is an inclusive professional alliance advocating for the support of Palestine. The group brings together those working in architectural fields who wish to create unity and join the international call for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide.

AA4P have put together a statement outlining the impact this humanitarian crisis has had on architecture, homes, and the built environment in Gaza, as well as the role architects can have in the practices of colonisation.

Women in conflict-affected areas will face higher proportions of displacement, gendered violence, and deprivation of essential services.¹ The situation in Gaza has a clear gendered impact and disregards some of the core values of the feminism movement - equality and justice.

AA4P calls for all architects and architectural workers in Aotearoa to leverage their unique position to demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. To support their statement, add your signature to the statement. There are currently 145 signatures.
