Atmospheric Architectures ed & translated by Tina Engels-Schwarzpaul
06 Jan 2018A+W NZ member Tina Engels-Schwarzpaul has edited and translated from German the recently-published Atmospheric Architectures. The Aesthetics of Felt Spaces, by Gernot Böhme and published by Bloomsbury.
Tina spends her time between New Zealand and Germany, where she works on academic projects such as Atmospheric Architectures. While in New Zealand, Tina is Professor of Spatial design and Postgraduate Studies, in the Faculty of Design & Creative Technologies at AUT, and gave her inaugural address in 2017. She also runs Pacific Spaces with Dr Albert Refiti, as well as Interstices with Dr Sue Hedges, Dr Ross Jenner and Dr Andrew Douglas.
Gernot Böhme delivered the Keynote Address at the 2014 Interstices Conference, held in Auckland, New Zealand. Interstices 15 Atmospheres and Affect was published in 2014 and includes the article by Gernot Böhme, again translated by Engels-Schwarzpaul.
