How to make submissions for the exhibition 01

There is no restriction to the type of work submitted - we encourage a wide variety of work, from finished buildings, unbuilt projects, student work, work from associated creative fields (eg. film, art, fashion, furniture, academic writing etc.) The work submitted does not have to be recent.

Submission options;

1.Website Profile page 15 August

All website profiles will be displayed in the exhibition and published in the catalogue.

Make sure yours is updated by 15 August 2013.

2. Individual / Practice submissions: 15 August

a.) Digital 300 dpi images .pdf, .psd, .tiff 10-30 MB max (10 max)

b.) Physical (drawings / models)

Drawings: A1 max width + unlimited length, or A1 max length + unlimited width. (eg can be printed on a roll)

Models: any models on a base size larger than A2 fall into the 'Large Submissions' category and has a different process and an earlier deadline. (see below)

Submissions are called for in a digital format to keep costs and time commitment low. It also enables transport between Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin and for the entire exhibition to be displayed countrywide.

Digital displays will be projected in various ways, using large and small screen banks and surfaces.

Physical work will be displayed in panels within the exhibition areas.

3. Registration of interest – Large Scale Submissions 15 July

All work will be displayed within ‘themed’ areas, with a single large scale installation per theme. Submission for large scale ideas are due 15 July, and are to include the following;

written description of proposal

drawing(s) of proposal

relevant image(s)

Budget Estimate

A+W•NZ acceptance notification & Contract issued 22 July

Large installation contract submission 6 August

Installation of final large scale submissions 17 September

NOTES:

The exhibition will be curated by Ariane Craig-Smith and assisted by Elisapeta Heta. A+W•NZ reserves the right to make curatorial decisions based on the work submitted and suitability to the exhibition spaces

On all architectural projects, please acknowledge the Practice Name and the role undertaken by the individual submitting work on each project.

How / Where do we submit work?

Here are the details;

1. DIGITAL: To [email protected] This includes the catalogue images, the 10 images and the .pdf formatted image.

2. POST: To P.O Box 105 972, Auckland 1143. You can post your memory sticks/CD's etc to this address

3. PHYSICAL: To c/o Suite 501, Ironbank Building, 150 Karangahape Road, Auckland 1010. Any large prints can be brought to this office.

If you intend to submit small models or a Thesis copy, you can indicate this on the R02 form, and deliver these to the exhibition site (Silo 6 Gallery, Silo Park) on 17 September 2013.
