There are big jobs and small, so just select the task that best fits your available time, all help is greatly appreciated.
And if you are from outside Auckland, these tasks exist for the Wellington, Christchurch and Southland exhibitions as well, so email us at [email protected] and your offer of help will be forwarded to the relevant location.
A. Exhibition Submissions:Database and Colleague follow-up:
- Assist with ensuring all database profiles are updated for catalogue printing (includes text and 2x images)
- Assist with gathering high resolution images from each member (300dpi)
B. Installation Submissions – Pre-organising IT installation / projection:
- Source and obtain quotes for hiring IT equipment
- Assist with projection techniques
- Assist with loading/editing data in preparation for exhibition
C. Research + Surveys:
- Assist with compiling existing research into graphical display
- Assist with translating A+W•NZ surveys into graphical display
- Construct and install the display
D. Genealogy - Histories of Women Wikipedia Project:
- Research: Select a women of pre-1970 NZ history and provide for the preparation of a written + visual board. (This will later be developed for a Wikipedia entry.)
- Record ‘oral histories’ by interviewing retired and/or pre-1970 women architects.
E. During the Exhibition: 20 - 28 September:
- Add your name to the roster for supervising the Silo 6 gallery space (we need 2 people during opening hours)
- Be a helper to the Children's Workshop (Sunday 22 September)
- Assist at the Lunchtime Panel Discussions (Monday 23 - Friday 27 September)
