I’m a Heritage Architect at Cheshire Architects in Auckland, working with historic buildings and the stories they carry. I’m interested in how old buildings can keep evolving without losing what makes them special, and how contemporary design can sit quietly but confidently within existing fabric.
I completed a Master’s in Conservation Architecture in Rome, which really shaped how I think about repair, detail, and longevity, and that perspective continues to inform my work.

Chief Post Office Refurbishment
The Chief Post Office is a Category 1 historic building (Auckland Unitary Plan Category A). In partnership with Cooper & Company, we have completed adaptation and restoration of the historic Chief Post Office in downtown Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. A jewel in the city and a work of exceptional national significance to the nation, the building was designed by government architects John Campbell and Claude Paton. It opened in 1912 as the pulsing heart of its city, the epicentre of celebrations and the dispatching of men to world wars. It is a Category 1 listed historic building and an enduring expression of civic architecture.
Our work, alongside a large consultant, contractor, and client team, carefully removed alterations accrued over the intervening century and prioritised conserving the historic fabric, seeking to distil and honour the building’s innate elegance. Inside, the building was reconfigured around the transformation of a central light well into a garden atrium, floating atop the skylights of what is now the city’s central train station.
