Ruby joined Designgroup Stapleton Elliott in 2023 as an Architectural Graduate based in our Napier Studio. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington, Ruby worked for a local firm in Hawke’s Bay gaining experience in the design and documentation of residential and commercial architecture.
Passionate about residential design, Ruby’s thesis explored how residential architecture in New Zealand can provide occupants with a greater sense of place and belonging through the use of local materials, design variation, climate specificity, and the co-habitation of space.
