The Ground is Talking to Us: South Pacific Architecture Megan Rule + Julie Wilson

Objectspace, 31 October - 5 November 2020

Auckland, Aotearoa

Exhibition south pacific architecture 01

A+W NZ Co-Founders Megan Rule and Julie Wilson's recent exhibition at Objectspace reflects on their collaborative forms of practice over the last two decades. The exhibition was presented as 10 drawings + 10 projects, built and unbuilt. Models made by students at the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland.

"Architecture is a practice, however, the conceptual exploration of architectural theory provides the constantly changing building industry something to revolve around and be challenged by.

The drawings, photography, writing and projects in this exhibition give us the opportunity to reevaluate past conceptual work and explore current thinking, so the ground is always talking to us…”

Curated by Tosh Ahkit, with support from the NZIA Auckland Branch.

Megan Rule is the inaugural Co-Chair, and Julie is the inaugural Secretary of A+W NZ, both active 2011-2016.
