Architectus’ Christchurch studio, in association with Architecture+Women NZ, hosted a sold-out speed mentoring evening Wednesday, 1 May. The interactive networking event involved a series of short, informative conversations with mentors from different architectural studios, stages of career, or related work fields. The quick fire nature of the event resulted in a lively and convivial atmosphere with conversations continuing well after the final bell had been rung. Deemed well worthwhile by both mentor and mentee attendees, the evening provided a hugely successful platform for forging fruitfulrelationships and industry networks.

The speed-dating format provides opportunities for people at various
stages in their architectural career to engage in fun, fast-paced and
informal conversations about their experiences in the field which can
lead to impromptu mentoring moments.
Architecture+Women NZ are in collaboration again with Architectus, in a follow-up to the very well-attended combined Auckland event last year.
Come along to chat with people working in architecture who you may
never cross paths with. This event is the opposite of a formal
mentor/mentee type of function - it is fast and loose, with an organic
and casual approach to forming mentor relationships.
You may be a student, a graduate, an experienced architect, having a
break from practice or working in a parallel field – all experiences are
helpful and may be just what others are curious about.
All are welcome. (Every A+W NZ event is inclusive, men are always welcome.)
Thank you to Architectus and Athfield Architects for sponsoring this event.
You may be a Mentor and/or Mentee....
