I'm a registered Architect in Wellington, currently on maternity leave with my third child, and am looking for someone to be my mentor, in terms of maintaining my career with kids, and also the direction I might be able to take my career. I currently practice on my own, or do contract work but would like to be a part of a larger office again... In turn I'd be more than happy to mentor someone that's perhaps heading towards registration, or starting a family and juggling the early stages of maternity leave.

I'd be keen to talk to someone that is working part time hours in a bigger firm, more so than someone working on their own, (or ideally someone who has done both)... The issue I've found is when I'm only able to work part time hours I've been pigeon holed into draughtsperson type roles, which is hard to expand my experience...I'm really interested in the management of projects and staff and relish the relationship side of things, so I'm wondering whether these opportunities might be out there for me, and what I can do to get myself there.
