Raukura Turei's (Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, Ngā Rauru Kītahi) creative life is so broad that she excels in several areas and has been recognised over the years for her work in painting, acting and architecture and is also mother to two children. She was recently featured in the Sunday Magazine, in the 'Bright Sparks' list from the Arts category.
